Prepare materials for welding, such as cleaning, cutting, and shaping parts. Select the appropriate welding method based on material and application requirements. Assemble and position parts to be welded. Safely and efficiently operate welding equipment, including welding machines, torches, and electrodes. Perform welding in accordance with established quality and safety standards. Previous experience as a Metal Structure Assembler, Welding Operator, Welding Technician, or Pipe Welder may indicate familiarity with some of the activities associated with this position. High school diploma required.
