Job Summary: The hands-on Application Architect Leader will be responsible for defining the target architecture, leading Application Rationalization, and delivering critical components for a global manufacturing client. Key Highlights: 1. Hands-on involvement in projects with diverse technologies and challenges at a global company. 2. Collaborative, results-oriented, and practically focused technical leadership. 3. A diverse environment that values equity and inclusion, with flexible working hours. The first thing you need to know is that here, you won’t fall into routine. Radix develops solutions for companies across multiple sectors and industries. Each project features its own technologies, solutions, and deadlines — offering you opportunities to engage with and experience varied challenges. Beyond our presence across Brazil — with offices in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Belo Horizonte — we also have subsidiaries in the United States, further consolidating Radix as a **global** company. Do you want to be part of this story and turn ideas and dreams into reality? You will work on a strategic program for a global process manufacturing client (refining/petrochemicals) to implement an enterprise Semantic Layer and Decision Traceability solution, enabling analytical and Artificial Intelligence applications. The central challenge is to reduce data meaning fragmentation and application redundancy (dashboards, local apps, scripts, integrations), eliminate “multiple truths,” and build a standardized, scalable consumption layer — without interrupting operations and while respecting existing systems (ERP, historians/PIMS, CMMS/EAM, LIMS, planning systems, etc.). ### **Role Objective** Serve as the hands-on Application Architect Leader responsible for defining the target architecture, conducting Application Rationalization (consolidate/modernize/retire), and delivering critical components (APIs, services, integrations, and/or application modules) that consume the semantic layer and record auditable decision traces. **As a Senior Software Architecture Professional (Application Rationalization + Delivery), your responsibilities will include:** ### **1) Application Rationalization (Strategy and Execution)** * Conduct inventory and assessment of the application portfolio: purpose, users, criticality, costs, dependencies, risks, and compliance with standards. * Define and apply the R framework (Retain / Retire / Replace / Rehost / Refactor / Rebuild), including prioritization by value, risk, and TCO. * Identify and resolve “multiple truths” (KPIs, calculation rules, time windows, adjustments), aligning with the semantic layer and corporate governance. * Define the target application architecture per *persona* (executive, plant leadership, engineering, operations), reducing proliferation of disconnected dashboards. ### **2) Software Architecture and Standards (Architecture + Governance)** * Define standards for consuming the semantic layer (APIs, data products, events/streaming where applicable) and implementation guidelines. * Design non-functional requirements: security, availability, scalability, performance, observability, and compliance. * Establish engineering practices: CI/CD, code review, testing, logging/monitoring, and documentation of architectural decisions (ADRs). ### **3) Hands-on Delivery (Development/Industrialization)** * Implement (or directly lead implementation of) essential services/APIs and integrations for the consumption layer. * Ensure applications and services record *Decision Traces* (what/why/who/when/context/evidence/results), with an auditable trail. * Work with squads to decompose architecture into executable backlogs, accelerate deliveries, and elevate technical quality. **Requirements for this position:** * Proven experience as a **S**oftware/Enterprise Architect (Senior/Expert level) in complex corporate environments. * Demonstrated experience in Application Rationalization / modernization / portfolio consolidation (practical Application Portfolio Management – APM). * Hands-on profile: recent track record developing and delivering software (APIs/services and integrations) using modern software engineering standards. * Proficiency in modern Backend ecosystems (Java/.NET/Node.js/Python) and Frontend (React/Angular/Vue, componentization, API consumption). * Experience with integration and security architectures: REST APIs, authentication/authorization (OAuth2/OIDC), IAM/SSO, RBAC/ABAC. * Familiarity with observability practices (logs, metrics, tracing) and service operations. * Ability to facilitate workshops, align stakeholders (IT/OT/Engineering/Operations), and communicate decisions clearly. * Balanced profile between strategy and execution: defines the target and builds the path. * Collaborative, results-oriented, and practically focused technical leadership. * Fluent English (for meetings and documentation in a global context). **Nice-to-have qualifications:** * Experience with Data/AI platforms (e.g., Palantir Foundry/AIP, Databricks, Azure/AWS) and integration with corporate ecosystems. * Experience with “semantics-first” architectures (ontologies/knowledge graphs, data products, data contracts). * Experience with AI in production (RAG, guardrails, evaluation) and auditability/explainability requirements. * Industrial domain context (historians/PIMS, CMMS/EAM, alarms, reliability, operational routines). **Benefits:** * National Health Insurance (for employee and dependents, private room included) * National Dental Insurance (for employee and dependents) * Flexible Meal/Meal Allowance * Remote Work Allowance * Birthday Day Off * Wellhub (formerly Gympass) * Extended Maternity Leave (6 months) and Paternity Leave (20 days) * Childcare Support for children up to 3 years old (per child) * Mental health support via Wellz * Benefits Club with discounts across various partners * Education and language course partnerships * Professional Development (Corporate University) * Coworking space partnership across Brazil * Quality of Life and Wellness Program * Consulting physician for Radix employees * Incentive Plans **Radix consistently ranks among the Best Companies to Work For because:** * We have committed, dedicated, curious, and innovative professionals. * Team spirit is our greatest strength. We work cooperatively and know we are all rowing in the same direction. * We foster a diverse environment that values equity and inclusion. * Our working hours are flexible, and for nearly all projects, you can work from anywhere in Brazil. * We value well-being and care for our people, offering mental health support, access to psychiatrists, and consulting physicians. **Interested?** **\#JoinRadix** **Job Code:** edc2
