**Job Category** ================ Production & Skilled Trades**Position Summary** ==================== Provide support for raw material inventory, splicing, extrusion, vulcanization, and finishing processes, maintaining records of process changes and non-conformities, as well as troubleshooting and/or involving responsible parties.**Responsibilities** ==================== * Provide support for raw material inventory, splicing, extrusion, vulcanization, and finishing processes, maintaining records of process changes and non-conformities, as well as troubleshooting and/or involving responsible parties. * Monitor daily progress of quality indicators—such as scrap, FPA (Final Product Audit), customer complaints, waste, and process rejection—proposing and implementing actions to minimize/reduce/eliminate these metrics. * Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement teams, applying statistical tools such as Ishikawa, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), 5 Whys, FMEA, etc. * Weigh scrap and flash at the end of each shift and record data in the SAP system. * Conduct finished product inspection (“FPA”), analyze defects, and propose action plans. * Conduct flash studies. * Perform Blow-point analysis. * Participate in and implement corrective actions arising from internal and external audit non-conformities. * Evaluate and identify segregated materials, ensuring proper product disposition and reuse where possible, to control and minimize scrap when necessary. * Be familiar with plant production process documents (e.g., PGIs) and corporate documents, verifying compliance with these requirements in the factory; arrange for document revisions when required. * Provide occasional operational support activities, such as operating forklifts, handling molds, and participating in vulcanization line operations. * Maintain a clean and organized workplace, ensuring proper care and maintenance of equipment to keep it in optimal working condition. Collaborate with the Integrated Management team in implementing 5S. * Understand the company’s mission, values, policies, and objectives, complying with established internal standards, instructions, and procedures to ensure quality, occupational safety, environmental protection, and preventive healthcare—thereby contributing to people development, process optimization, sustainable development, and improved service to internal and external customers. * Protect the environment by committing to prevention of all forms of pollution through compliance with applicable federal, state, and corporate legislation, as well as practices, regulations, procedures, and controls within the Integrated Management Process covering: Quality; Occupational Safety and Health; and Environment—collaborating on continuous improvement initiatives across all Bandag activities and processes to pursue operational excellence. * Perform other related and inherent duties as directed or requested by the immediate supervisor. **Minimum Qualifications** ========================== Prior experience in this role is desirable. Desired Education Level: **Completed Technical Education** Education: Completed high school Field of Study: **Chemistry.
