Handling critical production incidents and reliability architecture **About the opportunity:** The Core Engineering team at Incognia is seeking a **Staff**-level professional to drive the evolution of critical infrastructure, with an emphasis on scalability, reliability, and automation. The SRE team is a multidisciplinary unit with direct impact on the production environment and the efficiency of product teams. This opportunity includes a defined career path: the professional will start in an individual technical role (Staff) to absorb the technological context, and after a six-month period, will formally assume team management responsibilities, reporting directly to one of the company’s co-founders. **Day-to-day responsibilities:** * **Infrastructure Optimization:** Lead resolution of highly complex issues related to Kubernetes scalability, databases, and observability systems. * **Standardization and Efficiency:** Identify bottlenecks in CI/CD and automation workflows, proposing and implementing solutions that improve delivery predictability and speed. * **Reliability Architecture:** Collaborate with product teams to define and implement architectural standards ensuring high application availability. * **Tier-3 Support:** Respond to critical production incidents, ensuring environment stability and conducting effective post-mortems. * **People Leadership:** Directly manage team engineers, conducting performance reviews and weekly 1:1 meetings. * **Technical Mentoring:** Support the technical development of team members, promoting engineering best practices. * **Planning:** Align technical priorities with Core Engineering’s business objectives. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering; * Experience in team leadership or management; * Knowledge and experience with Kubernetes and containers; * Experience tackling high-scalability challenges; * Knowledge and experience with AWS; * Upper-intermediate English (reads and writes well, maintains everyday conversations without significant difficulty, though speaks slowly and deliberately). **About Incognia:** **Incognia** protects you against fraud and account theft in mobile apps.
