Job Summary: We are seeking a Chief Engineer to ensure the availability of machinery and equipment on FSV vessels through preventive maintenance. Key Highlights: 1. Ensure the availability and reliability of vessel machinery. 2. Monitor and control marine equipment to guarantee proper operation. 3. Lead QSMS processes and operational problem analyses. **We are looking for a CHIEF ENGINEER (1OM / OSM) to work aboard our FSV vessels, whose mission is to ensure the availability of vessel machinery, equipment, and auxiliary systems through efficient and appropriate execution of planned preventive maintenance.** **Responsibilities and Duties** * Actively participate in the vessel shift handover process, reporting to the Master complete information regarding equipment operational updates, current status, and actions performed or pending for execution by the next shift/crew; * Monitor and control all equipment on the Maritime Unit, ensuring normal operating parameters; * Continuously verify the proper functioning of metrology equipment (ammeters, voltmeters, frequency meters, power indicators, thermometers, pressure gauges, level indicators) to validate correct operational indices for vessel equipment; * Continuously monitor the proper functioning of equipment pre-alarms and alarms to enable timely intervention in case of failure; * Strictly comply with equipment hour-meter reports, inventory and consumption records of filters, greases, lubricants, and fuels; * Daily control of vessel fuel, water, and lubricant inventory levels and consumption, verified through physical tank inspections; * Execute work orders within established deadlines to maintain scheduled preventive maintenance programs up-to-date; * Coordinate with the Master regarding the availability and reliability of vessel machinery, equipment, and auxiliary systems to carry out planned maintenance activities without affecting operations; * Assess and resolve equipment failures to ensure operational continuity and prevent further damage. Use all available resources to independently resolve encountered issues and promptly report actions taken; * Notify the Maritime Unit Master of all failures that may compromise vessel availability and cannot be resolved onboard; * Conduct and supervise the implementation of QSMS (Quality, Safety, Environment, and Health) processes to comply with applicable laws, Company Policies, and Customer requirements; * Report and analyze problems and anomalies arising during operations, as well as personnel and equipment conditions under your responsibility, to propose corrective and preventive actions to General Management; **Requirements and Qualifications** CIR 1OM / OSM Certificates III/2, TBS, EESS/ESPM, ECIA, EPSM/ESCM, EBCP/EOPN, HPGM/EGPM, ESAT (HPAV1 and HPAV2\).
