Operation of ice production machines and system adjustment **JOB DESCRIPTION:** Perform refrigeration-related tasks to improve team performance, ensure proper operation and efficiency of facility equipment, and contribute to departmental and Coopavel objectives. **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:** Monitor equipment, infrastructure, and work orders in accordance with established planning; Monitor execution of preventive maintenance plans to support achievement of departmental targets; Release ammonia from storage tanks to evaporators; Inspect machinery and equipment by checking for abnormal noises, leaks, appearance, odor, vibration, etc., and refer issues to preventive or corrective maintenance teams; Perform valve panel operations, including opening/closing isolation valves and solenoid valves, for both maintenance and operational purposes; Monitor and verify operational parameters of systems—including pressure, temperature, and fluid levels—and proactively perform operational adjustments, such as starting ammonia pumps or compressors; Inspect ammonia pipelines to locate and repair minor leaks, and report findings to supervision for maintenance planning; Operate ice production machines; Adjust water and ice quantities in reservoirs, distribute ice in silos, and control refrigerant flow to maintain machine efficiency; Replace gaskets on ammonia system valves; Identify and signal operational hazards and equipment shutdowns; Clean condensers internally and externally using a water pump to ensure hygiene and thermal exchange efficiency; Perform other duties related to this position as required by departmental needs or immediate supervisor's instructions. **REQUIREMENTS:** Completed elementary education. Updated Pressure Vessel Operator Certification – Ammonia Compressors (NR 13\). Experience as a refrigeration unit operator.
