As a **Junior Software Engineer**, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HPC by collaborating with a senior team to develop solutions for geoscientific simulations on advanced computing architectures—interested? Let’s go!
**Responsibilities:**
* Support implementation of scientific kernels and benchmarks.
* Conduct tests, document results, and assist in performance analysis.
* Learn and apply best coding practices in applied research environments.
* Assist in adapting code for different hardware architectures.
**Mandatory Requirements:**
* Completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field;
* Experience developing applications for high-performance computing (programming and/or infrastructure);
* Knowledge of C/C\+\+ and programming logic;
* Knowledge of compilers and compilation infrastructure (GNU Compilers, Intel Compilers, NVidia Compilers, CMake...);
* Interest in parallel computing and system performance;
* Knowledge of processor architectures (x86\_64, ARM).
**Desirable Qualifications:**
* Familiarity with Linux, Git, compilers, and HPC execution environments.
* Interest in RISC\-V, GPUs, or other emerging technologies.
* Solid familiarity with Applied Mathematics, Linear Algebra, Analytic Geometry, and related fields;
* Knowledge of HPC Resource Managers (Slurm);
* Knowledge of container technologies (Singularity and Docker);
* Advanced English proficiency.
