TIRE REPAIR TECHNICIAN

Job Summary: Responsible for repairing and retreading tires of agricultural machinery and vehicles, ensuring their usability through maintenance and vulcanization. Key Highlights: 1. Repair and retreading of tires for agricultural machinery and vehicles. 2. Removal and recovery of inner tubes and internal inspection of tires. 3. Vulcanization of retreaded parts and mounting of recovered tires. Repair and retread tires of machinery and vehicles used in the field, using appropriate tools to fix and recap damaged or worn parts, restoring them to usable condition. **Responsibilities and Duties** Dismount wheels from machinery or vehicles using appropriate tools to inspect the condition of damaged tires; Remove and recover inner tubes, identifying punctures, tears, or other damage, sealing them with adhesive materials to restore optimal usability; Inspect and restore internal tire components, observing damage, removing foreign objects embedded in the tread using screwdrivers, pliers, and other tools, to determine whether recovery or scrapping is required; Perform or arrange external retreading of tires by applying a new rubber layer to worn areas to level the outer surface; Vulcanize retreaded tire and inner tube components by subjecting them to heat, enhancing durability and elasticity; Mount recovered tires, ensuring proper inflation pressure and verifying correct fitment to restore original wheel conditions; Balance wheels using lead or other counterweights affixed to the rim to prevent uneven tire wear; Report requirements for consumables, replacement parts, tools, etc., to enable timely restocking; Report any observed mechanical failures, defects, or other anomalies during wheel mounting, or perform adjustments, minor repairs, or part replacements as needed or in emergency situations; Remain vigilant regarding unsafe acts or conditions in internal or outsourced teams, reporting and/or taking preventive measures per institutional instructions; **Requirements and Qualifications** Incomplete elementary education – 4th grade.
