Democratize e-commerce and financial services across Latin America As a **Software Engineer** at Mercado Livre, you will design and scale innovative and secure systems that solve real-world, high-impact problems. You will work in a dynamic environment leveraging cutting-edge technology, engineering best practices, proprietary AI models, and continuous learning—all aimed at democratizing e-commerce and financial services across Latin America. Imagine\-yourself leading challenging, dynamic, and innovative projects and being **responsible for:** * Collaborating with the Cloud and Platform team, gaining broad visibility into the development of our internal platform and exposure to cross\-Meli impact projects. * Designing and implementing solutions to address high-volume, resilient systems—with strong emphasis on scalability, productivity, and uptime. Designing, implementing, maintaining, and improving high-complexity Fury services (e.g., BigQueue, KVS, OS, DS, Streams, etc.) to serve as foundational building blocks for all applications across the Meli ecosystem. * Actively participating in the creation of new services—arising from UN needs analysis or technological evolution—as well as in organizing, defining, and prioritizing the team’s backlog and roadmap. * Focusing on component reuse, task automation, and developing supporting tools (e.g., CLIs), etc. * Engaging with development teams (e.g., handling support tickets, conducting surveys and talks) to understand their needs and improve developer experience—and then fulfilling those needs through service development with strong emphasis on usability and documentation. **What we’re looking for:** * Proficiency in Go and/or Java. * Passion for technology and scale, and ability to intelligently leverage GenAI tools. * Experience in software quality and system architecture. * Knowledge of engineering best practices such as SOLID, clean code, clean architecture, etc. * Cloud knowledge is a plus—the key is understanding how cloud infrastructure works. **Are you excited to leave your mark on Latin America’s technology landscape?** Apply now and join our mission!
