The core objective is to act as a **Squad Leader with a technical background**, leading, mentoring, and guiding the engineering team to elevate delivery maturity and ensure robustness, scalability, and security of Core Banking platforms (accounts, payments, Pix, investments, and regulatory systems). **Responsibilities** * Lead technical and people management for an agile, multidisciplinary squad (comprising approximately 8–10 members), including resource allocation, team climate, engagement, feedback, and team building. * Mentor and guide the engineering team, bridging the gap caused by a lack of strong technical background—without performing hands-on implementation on a day-to-day basis. * Coordinate the software engineering lifecycle (from technical design and refinement through product delivery), ensuring application of best practices in architecture and prioritization. * Manage the backlog jointly with the Product Manager. * Actively lead and support problem and conflict resolution, removing impediments for the team. * Ensure visibility into priorities, risks, dependencies, and progress using management and monitoring tools to provide transparency. * Negotiate and interact across multiple areas, connecting product needs with engineering decisions, and applying and promoting agile frameworks (Kanban, Scrum, Lean, or SAFe). **Requirements:** * **Strong technical background**, with deep knowledge of the software engineering lifecycle and modern architecture. * Experience in people management and leadership of development teams. * Knowledge of modern architecture (APIs, gateways, microservices, containers, messaging, event streaming). * Proficiency in .NET (primary stack), Node, JavaScript, React. * Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP). * Mastery of engineering best practices (design patterns, clean code, observability, CI/CD). * Product mindset, ability to manage stakeholder expectations, and understanding of business metrics and team performance metrics (lead time, throughput). **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience in mission-critical transactional environments within Core Banking (accounts, payments, PIX, settlements, open finance, regulatory systems). * Experience leading modernization and agile transformation projects, including legacy system refactoring and feature migration. * Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) architecture and concepts for domain discussion and repatriation. * Experience with observability platforms such as Dynatrace. * Ability to act as a cultural change agent, engaging the team in Agile adoption. * Experience with test automation and promoting Artificial Intelligence adoption in daily engineering work. **Our Benefits:*** Health and dental insurance; * Meal and food allowance; * Childcare assistance; * Extended parental leave; * Partnerships with gyms and health/wellness professionals via Wellhub (Gympass, TotalPass); * Profit Sharing Program (PLR); * Life insurance; * Continuous learning platform (CI\&T University); * Discount club; * Free online platform dedicated to promoting physical health, mental well-being, and overall wellness; * Pregnancy and responsible parenting courses; * Partnerships with online course platforms; * Language learning platform; * And many more More details about our benefits here: https://ciandt.com/br/pt\-br/carreiras At CI\&T, inclusion begins from the first contact.
