Mission
To serve as a technical reference in chemical analysis and quality control of non-ferrous metals, ensuring data reliability, regulatory compliance, and effective support for production process decisions—actively contributing to the professionalization, standardization, and evolution of the quality management system.
Main Responsibilities
* Perform chemical composition analyses of non-ferrous metals via wet chemistry and instrumental methods, ensuring result accuracy, traceability, and reliability.
* Conduct critical analysis of chemical composition data, guiding the production process based on technical criteria and objective indicators.
* Record, control, and ensure the integrity of analytical and production data related to material chemical composition.
* Develop, review, and issue quality certificates in accordance with technical specifications, internal standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Consolidate, analyze, and interpret departmental data; develop, monitor, and propose improvements to performance indicators (KPIs).
* Develop, review, and maintain departmental procedures, work instructions, and records, promoting standardization, operational discipline, and process robustness.
* Prepare and review technical data sheets and Safety Data Sheets (SDS), ensuring legal compliance, up-to-date information, and consistency.
* Execute quality control on the production line and during dispatch, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and defined standards.
* Monitor, analyze data, and oversee calibration of measurement equipment used in the Laboratory and Production departments.
* Manage internal and external non-conformities, conducting root cause analysis and defining and tracking corrective and preventive actions.
* Issue and manage documents submitted to regulatory agencies (Army, Civil Police, Federal Police, CETESB), ensuring compliance with deadlines and legal requirements.
* Execute and monitor activities related to the PGRS (Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan) and the Non-Ferrous Waste Management Service.
* Actively participate in the establishment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the quality management system and laboratory processes.
* Proactively identify deviations, operational risks, and opportunities for technical and procedural improvement.
* Support the company’s cultural transformation by promoting organization, standardization, technical accountability, and ownership mindset.
* Maintain clear, technically sound, and aligned communication with Production, Quality, and regulatory agencies.
Requirements
**Academic Qualification**
* Bachelor’s degree completed in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
**Experience**
* Experience in an industrial chemistry laboratory, preferably in the non-ferrous metals segment.
* Experience with ISO-based management systems, chemical analyses, and technical production support.
**Technical Knowledge**
* Chemical analyses via wet chemistry and instrumental methods.
* Active CRQ (Regional Council of Chemistry) registration.
* Interpretation of technical standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
* Preparation of quality certificates, technical data sheets, and SDS.
* Handling of non-conformities and root cause analysis.
* Performance indicators (KPIs) and data control.
* Calibration and control of measurement equipment.
* Quality management system and good laboratory practices.
