Job Summary: Assembles, installs, and repairs metallic and non-metallic piping systems for fluid conveyance (e.g., water, gas, steam) in industrial environments, interpreting engineering drawings and performing pressure tests. Repair and maintenance of piping systems An industrial pipefitter assembles, installs, and repairs metallic and non-metallic piping systems for conveying fluids such as water, gas, and steam in industrial settings. Responsibilities include interpreting engineering drawings and isometric diagrams, threading, flanging, and grooving pipes, as well as conducting pressure and leak-tightness tests. This role requires knowledge of safety standards, high-pressure work practices, skills to fix leaks and damage, and equipment maintenance. Key Responsibilities * Assemble and install industrial piping systems (metallic and non-metallic). * Perform threading, flanging, and grooving operations. * Read and interpret isometric drawings and layout plans. * Conduct pressure and leak-tightness tests to identify leaks. * Repair and maintain existing piping systems. * Fabricate piping support systems per engineering specifications. * Operate hand and power tools, and possess welding knowledge.
