To work in the Materials Group (MAT) of the Deputy Directorate of Technology (DAT).
The Materials Group (MAT) develops advanced solutions in materials engineering applied to high-complexity scientific and technological projects. The group masters special joining processes, heat treatments, coatings, and materials characterization, all within a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. The group offers real technical challenges, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and opportunities to impact strategic projects aimed at advancing Brazilian technology.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
* Support special joining processes such as brazing, diffusion welding, friction stir welding (FSW), among others;
* Assist in the design and operation of equipment, vacuum systems, furnaces, and equipment for joining and heat treatment processes;
* Collaborate on material selection activities, supplier development for raw materials, and manufacturing processes;
* Support chemical and physical characterization of metallic materials through destructive and non-destructive testing;
* Support prospecting solutions for problems in materials science and technology:
* Assist in preparing technical documentation and presentations (procedures, specifications, reports, articles).
**Requirements and Qualifications**
* Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related fields.
* Knowledge of destructive and non-destructive testing for materials characterization;
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Knowledge of vacuum technology applied to manufacturing processes;
* Knowledge of special joining processes (vacuum brazing, soft soldering, diffusion welding, FSW, electron beam welding (EBW), among others);
