The candidate must have deep technical knowledge of cloud technologies, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and a passion for applying the latest advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Large Language Models (LLMs), and Generative Conversational Agents to solve complex business challenges. As a Data Manager, you will be responsible for defining the company's data strategy, managing and mentoring a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, data analysts, and data scientists, and ensuring the delivery of innovative and high-quality data solutions. Responsibilities * Team Leadership and Management: Manage, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of data talents, promoting a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven work environment. * Data Strategy: Develop and implement the company’s strategic data vision aligned with business objectives, focusing on the advanced use of Google Cloud Platform. * Cloud Data Architecture: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, robust, and secure data architectures on GCP, using services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, Composer, and Vertex AI. * Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Guide the team in developing and deploying machine learning models, AI solutions, LLMs, and generative conversational agents from concept to production. * Data Governance: Establish and maintain data governance policies and practices to ensure data quality, security, privacy, and compliance. Analysis and Insights: Foster a data-driven culture, ensuring the team delivers actionable insights to business areas through data analysis and visualization in Looker. * Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with leaders from other departments to understand their data needs and ensure developed solutions meet business requirements. * Innovation: Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in data, cloud, and artificial intelligence, and identify opportunities to apply them for the company’s benefit. Requirements Experience: * Extensive experience in leadership roles within the data field, with a proven track record of managing multidisciplinary teams (engineers, analysts, and data scientists). * Knowledge of Google Cloud: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with key data and AI services of Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, Composer, Vertex AI, and other ecosystem components. * Expertise in AI and Machine Learning: Strong knowledge of AI and ML solutions, with familiarity in LLMs and generative conversational agents being a significant advantage. * Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL. * Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Composer) and MLOps practices. * Strategic Vision: Ability to translate business needs into effective data strategies and technical solutions. * Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields. A postgraduate degree or MBA in data-related areas will be an advantage.
