Description

Job Summary: Coordinate and ensure occupational health and safety by implementing accident prevention programs, training, and management of legal documentation for laboratory professionals. Inspect sites and equipment to identify hazards Ensure the occupational health and safety of Pasteur Laboratory staff. * Develop and monitor all occupational health and safety programs, such as LTCAT, PGR, PCMSO, NR regulations, and other legal documentation, including Service Orders (OS), PPP, etc. * Guide and coordinate the occupational safety system, investigating risks and accident causes, promoting training and preventive actions focused on accident prevention. * Inspect company premises, facilities, and equipment to determine accident risk factors. * Propose safety standards and devices, suggesting possible modifications to equipment and facilities to ensure accident prevention. * Inspect fire-fighting stations, examining hoses, hydrants, fire extinguishers, and fire protection equipment. * Report inspection results by preparing reports. * Investigate accidents that occur, examining incident conditions, identifying causes, and proposing corrective actions and measures; always recording them in designated forms and collecting data for analysis and indicator reporting. Record irregularities and compile accident statistics. * Liaise with medical and social services to facilitate necessary care for staff—whether injured or not—with a focus on Quality of Life and Health Promotion. * Manage medical certificates and reasons for leave, including data collection, result presentation, and action plans. * Ensure training delivery to Pasteur staff on safety regulations, fire-fighting, and other accident prevention measures; verify compliance with safety rules and procedures, and maintain updated institutional training matrices and plans. * Coordinate publication of occupational safety content, preparing instructions and internal communications (posters, notices, etc.) to promote and develop accident prevention habits. * Participate in occupational safety committees and meetings, providing relevant data, presenting suggestions, and analyzing the feasibility of proposed safety measures to improve the existing system. * Ensure the use of PPE and uniforms, overseeing procurement, storage, usage guidance, and documentation of distribution to staff. * Perform tasks pertinent to the role using computer equipment and software. * Support the Human Resources and Quality departments in all legal documentation activities, as well as those established in the People Management Policy and Quality Policy. * Coordinate hygiene and cleaning team activities, including task assignment and ensuring adherence to biosafety best practices and Pasteur-established procedures.
