




Job Summary: The professional will assist in the assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of permanent way components, as well as perform manual excavation and earthworks. Key Highlights: 1. Familiarity with construction site safety regulations (NR-18) #### **Responsibilities** * Assist in the assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of permanent way components, including rails, sleepers, and fastenings. * Perform excavation, leveling, and compaction of subgrade and railway ballast using hand tools and light equipment. * Carry out transportation, handling, and proper disposal of civil and railway construction materials, such as crushed stone, sand, cement, and metal parts. * Support the operation of small-scale equipment—e.g., vibratory compactors, jackhammers, and sleeper cutting machines—under supervision. * Ensure organization and cleanliness of the construction site, including basic maintenance and storage of tools and equipment. * Collaborate in implementing safety signage, work area isolation, and access control in accordance with technical and safety standards. * Perform manual earthworks tasks for preparation of railway platforms and embankments. #### **Requirements** * Completed elementary education. * Proven prior experience in heavy civil works or infrastructure projects, preferably railway or highway-related. * Basic knowledge of safe use and maintenance of civil construction tools and equipment. * Familiarity with construction site safety regulations and procedures, such as NR\-18 (Working Conditions and Environment in the Construction Industry). * Physical capacity to perform tasks requiring effort, endurance, and work under varying climatic conditions. * Availability to work on rotating shifts, on-call duty, and at various locations—including remote construction sites. * Basic understanding of measurements and ability to read simple layout drawings or sketches. #### **Skills** * Handling of hand tools (shovel, pickaxe, lever, sledgehammer). * Operation of light equipment (compactors, jackhammers, cutters). * Construction site safety signage. * Material handling and cargo transportation. * Basic earthworks. * Identification of permanent way materials (rails, sleepers, fastenings). * Basic knowledge of NR\-18 (Construction Safety). * Physical endurance. * Teamwork. ### **Employment Type:** CLT ### **Benefits:** Meal Voucher, Performance Bonus, Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Wellhub \- Formerly Gympass, Life Insurance, Transportation Allowance/Reimbursement, Accommodation, On-site Meals ### **Department:** OPERATIONAL
