Train and supervise new employees Job Description: * Assist the chef in pre\-preparation and preparation of food items; * Assist in food preparation on griddle, fryer, oven, and stove; * Assist in restocking food items at the sales counter; * Train and supervise new employees for this position (mentorship program); * Prepare food items while controlling quality and ensuring flavor complies with the established menu; * Monitor inventory levels and request necessary restocking; * Carry out kitchen tasks applying correct methods of food handling, sanitation, and preservation, per the company’s Food Handling and Production Manual; * Remove and place products and food items from the refrigerated chamber and meat room; * Clean equipment, facilities, and kitchen utensils as needed; * Wash dishes, pots, and other kitchen utensils; * Clean equipment, facilities, and utensils as needed; * Perform pre\-preparation of food items for the next day’s menu; * Record daily the quantity of leftover food items deemed unfit for use; * Remove waste from the area and place it in the designated collection location; * Report to department leadership any need for maintenance or repair of machinery, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems; * Attend meetings and training sessions scheduled by department leadership and management.
