Focus on safety, proactivity, and positive customer relationships JOB OBJECTIVE The Industrial and Medical Gas Delivery Driver is responsible not only for delivering cylinders to customers but also for managing direct sales and ensuring the safe handling of these products. This role requires a combination of driving skills, sales ability, and customer service, along with a strong focus on safety. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES **1\.** **Gas Delivery:** Transport gas cylinders such as oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and others, ensuring safe and timely delivery to customers. **2\.** **Direct Sales:** Act as a sales representative, promoting products and services related to industrial and medical gases, identifying additional sales opportunities, and cultivating customer relationships. **3\.** **Safe Unloading:** Handle and unload cylinders using personal protective equipment and other transportation equipment, in compliance with safety regulations. **4\.** **Route Planning:** Develop and optimize delivery routes to maximize time efficiency and customer satisfaction. **5\.** **Inventory Management:** Maintain accurate records of delivered and returned cylinders, and manage vehicle inventory. **6\.** **Vehicle Maintenance:** Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure safety and proper operation, reporting any maintenance needs. **7\.** **Documentation and Compliance:** Complete delivery reports, sales receipts, and ensure compliance with all regulations related to the transportation of industrial and medical gases. JOB REQUIREMENTS **Education:** Elementary school education **Desired Experience:** 2 years of experience as a truck driver. **Key Requirements:** CNH D and MOPP KEY REQUIREMENTS **KNOWLEDGE** **1\.** **Safety Regulations:** Understanding of hazardous materials transportation regulations, including safe handling and storage. (MOPP) **2\.** **Traffic Regulations:** Familiarity with traffic laws and road regulations applicable to heavy and hazardous cargo transportation. **3\.** **Vehicle Maintenance:** Basic mechanical knowledge to perform daily inspections and identify potential vehicle issues. **4\.** **Inventory Management:** Understanding of inventory control principles, including tracking cylinder inflows and outflows. **5\.** **Geography and Navigation:** Knowledge of GPS and map usage for route planning, as well as familiarity with delivery areas. **SKILLS** **1\.** Ability to drive and maneuver trucks under various load configurations and traffic conditions. **2\.** Interpersonal skills for effective interaction with customers, colleagues, and supervisors. **3\.** Ability to quickly identify problems and make effective decisions under pressure. **4\.** Skill in efficiently planning routes and managing time to meet delivery deadlines. **5\.** Competence in identifying sales opportunities during customer visits and promoting products persuasively. **ATTITUDE** **1\.** **Safety Orientation:** Commitment to personal and others’ safety, strictly adhering to safety standards and practices. **2\.** **Responsibility:** Reliability in fulfilling delivery commitments and carefully managing inventory. **3\.** **Proactivity:** Initiative to identify and resolve problems, improve processes, and seek sales opportunities. **4\.** **Flexibility and Adaptability:** Willingness to adjust to last-minute changes and diverse working conditions. **5\.** **Positive Attitude:** Maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor in all interactions, fostering good customer relationships and a positive work environment. **6\.** **Work Ethic:** Demonstrating strong ethics and integrity in all activities, ensuring work is performed efficiently, transparently, and correctly. **DELIVERABLES** * Perform 100% of daily vehicle safety inspections immediately before each trip. * Maintain a record of zero accidents or safety-related incidents during the transportation and handling of gas cylinders. * Contribute to optimizing fuel consumption through more efficient routing, targeting a 5% reduction in fuel-related operational costs. * Establish and maintain solid relationships with at least three new customers per quarter, expanding the contact network and strengthening relationships with the existing customer base.
