This is no ordinary position: we seek someone ready to contribute from day one, with solid technical expertise and strategic vision for industrial processes. **Your key tasks and responsibilities:** * Lead sizing of process equipment (centrifugal pumps, heat exchangers, piping, control valves, etc.), ensuring robust and economically viable technical solutions; * Develop and review process engineering documentation: process flow diagrams (PFDs and P&IDs), mass and energy balances, technical specifications for proposals, and other process engineering documents; * Serve as internal technical reference at Valmet, supporting other process engineers in sizing activities and resolving day-to-day technical issues; * Participate in technical meetings with customers, presenting and defending adopted process solutions with mastery of Valmet’s technology and competitive advantages; * Participate in commissioning and start-up activities of industrial plants, including support for projects outside Latin America; * Monitor contractual performance guarantees, proposing technical adjustments when necessary; * Conduct optimization and performance improvement studies for existing industrial plants; Maintain and update operational databases for plants within your area of responsibility. * **To succeed in this role, it is important that you have:** * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Mechanical Engineering; * Solid and proven experience in industrial technology and/or processes, preferably in the pulp and paper industry; * Technical proficiency in sizing criteria for process engineering equipment (centrifugal pumps, heat exchangers, piping, control valves, etc.); * Proven experience developing mass and energy balances applied to industrial processes; * Advanced English (technical communication with customers and international teams is part of daily work); * Technical leadership profile: ability to guide, develop, and elevate the technical level of a team; * Self-directed learning and continuous pursuit of technical updates — we want someone who never stops learning!
