Job Description: The intern will be responsible for learning how to use the company's internal systems, communicating with technical support, attending meetings and training sessions, and subsequently disseminating this knowledge to other employees. The intern will also provide support and perform maintenance on the systems used by the company, contributing to the smooth operation of business activities. Required Qualifications: Currently enrolled in one of the following programs: Information Systems; Systems Analysis and Development; Computer Science; Computer Engineering; Software Engineering; Computer Networks; Information Technology Management; Information Technology. Desired Technical Skills: Basic IT knowledge; computerized systems; user support; Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn new systems; system maintenance; fundamental networking concepts. Desired Behavioral Skills: The company seeks an Information Technology intern who is curious, proactive, and communicative, with a strong interest in learning and developing within the field. The candidate should demonstrate organizational skills; teamwork; responsibility; initiative; and good interpersonal relationships. Workload: 20 hours per week: 4 hours per day. Internship Schedule: Morning shift from 08:00 to 12:00 or afternoon shift from 13:00 to 17:00. Schedule may be adjusted according to the intern’s needs. A Cable Assistant is a professional responsible for providing technical support in the execution of installation, maintenance, expansion, and repair services for telecommunications networks, including metallic and optical fiber cabling—whether aerial, underground, or internal (building and commercial). Works alongside Cable Technicians or Telecommunications Technicians, assisting with preparation and organization of materials, cable pulling, infrastructure organization, and performing basic tests. * Assist in pulling cables or optical fiber in internal, underground, and aerial networks (on poles and building facades); * Support identification, separation, cleaning, and preparation of cables for splicing or connectorization; * Assist in installing equipment and accessories such as optical termination boxes (OTBs), splice closures, outlets, and faceplates; * Perform simple infrastructure mounting tasks; * Conduct visual inspections and basic continuity or connectivity tests using manual tools or basic instruments; * Verify signal points and report failures to the responsible technician; * Maintain cable organization and aesthetics by performing bundling and labeling according to network standards; * Carry and organize materials, tools, and equipment for on-site use; * Assist in assembling ladders, scaffolding, and isolating hazardous areas in accordance with safety regulations; * Support completion of checklists or work orders as directed by the technical team; * Maintain communication with the responsible technician and execute instructions accurately and safely.
