Accompany patients during transfers between departments. Escort patients for examinations. Direct patients to the appropriate department. Collect all used medical waste. Change patients’ clothing. Handle telephone and in-person inquiries. Remove indwelling urinary catheters. Set up enteral feeding pumps for patients receiving nutrition via feeding tubes. Assist with various departmental activities. * Prepare handover reports on patient status for the next shift. Perform electrocardiograms (ECGs) when required. Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in good condition, ensuring the workplace remains orderly, clean, and well-maintained. Carry out other related duties as required by organizational needs or at the discretion of the immediate supervisor. Comply with occupational safety and health regulations. Prepare patients for consultations and examinations. * Conduct and document examinations according to medical or nursing instructions; instruct and assist patients, providing information regarding hygiene, nutrition, medication use, and specific health treatment requirements; monitor vital signs and overall patient conditions per medical and nursing prescriptions; collect or assist patients in collecting specimens for laboratory tests as instructed; implement infection prevention and control measures. * Maintain daily inventory records of materials used; follow medical and nursing care prescriptions; provide postmortem care; record departmental activities, incidents involving patients, and other relevant data for reporting and statistical tracking; perform cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of materials and equipment, including preparation, storage, and distribution. * Perform tasks pertinent to the scope of practice using computer equipment and software; carry out additional tasks supporting departmental operations inherent to the role; prepare patients for surgeries, examinations, and other treatments; observe, recognize, and describe signs and symptoms within the scope of professional qualification; administer prescribed or routine treatments, as well as other nursing activities such as oral and parenteral medication administration. * Monitor fluid balance; perform wound dressings; administer oxygen therapy, nebulization, enemas, edema management, heat or cold therapy; monitor patients and contacts with communicable diseases; collect specimens for laboratory testing; provide pre- and post-operative nursing care; serve as circulating nurse in the operating room; perform disinfection and sterilization procedures; provide hygiene and comfort care to patients and ensure their safety. * Assist with oral feeding; maintain cleanliness and order of materials, equipment, and healthcare facility areas; collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team; participate in health education activities; observe, recognize, and describe signs and symptoms within the scope of professional qualification; collect specimens for laboratory testing; provide pre- and post-operative nursing care; administer or assist with patient dietary regimens.
