We are looking for a professional to fill the role of Occupational Safety Executive. **Responsibilities and Duties** **In this position, you will work at the Equatorial CEEE unit in Porto Alegre/RS,** and will be responsible for implementing a safety culture aligned with the company’s strategic objectives, enhancing actions related to the core value of SAFETY, and proactively eliminating, minimizing, and controlling significant risks to employees’ physical integrity and to the environment within the company’s operations and surrounding areas. Review some of the challenges you’ll face daily: * Ensure knowledge of and compliance with occupational health and safety legislation at the business unit. * Implement corporate health and safety policies, guidelines, and programs at the business unit. * Report health and safety performance and trend indicators to senior management to support business-unit decision-making. * Prepare and disseminate legal and managerial safety indicators reports for stakeholders. * Develop, evaluate, and validate technical proposals for health and safety services to ensure legal, technical, and financial compliance. * Establish an audit schedule for service provider companies to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements and with Equatorial Group’s occupational risk management guidelines and requirements. * Evaluate and prepare technical defenses to support the Legal Management team in cases involving lawsuits or notifications from regulatory agencies, defending the business unit. * Inspect electrical installations and supervise both internal and third-party employees performing activities on energized distribution networks, substations, and other energized electrical equipment to verify compliance with applicable occupational safety guidelines and procedures. * Plan, prepare, and execute the business unit’s Safety Committee agenda to advise the committee chairperson on deliberations and recommendations. * Manage the Programming and Planning of Control Routes (PPCR) for Safety Technicians. * Implement and monitor compliance with safety measures, inspecting and maintaining protection systems and facilities for internal and third-party employees working in electrically hazardous areas. * Supervise internal and third-party employees working at height on towers, poles, and substation structures to ensure compliance with fall-protection and accidental contact prevention measures for energized power lines. * Simulate, investigate, analyze, and assess accident events involving electric arc and/or shock occurring in substations and electrical installations to identify root causes and propose preventive measures to reduce risk and prevent recurrence. * Report, analyze, and draw conclusions regarding occupational safety performance to support the annual sustainability report. * Enhance employees’ technical and behavioral competencies through routine management to build high-performance teams. * Provide internal and third-party employees of the business unit with access to safety policies, guidelines, and standards to promote and consolidate Grupo Equatorial’s safety culture. * Promote, track, and monitor goal achievement and their cascading implementation. * Monitor action plan implementation and analyze results to assess effectiveness and propose corrective actions where applicable. **Requirements and Qualifications** For this opportunity, we expect the following from you: * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and postgraduate qualification in Occupational Safety. * Proven experience with energy distribution companies. * Experience in budget preparation and management. * Experience with management tools and accident investigation methodologies (TASC, Cause Tree). * Experience with people management practices. * Intermediate-level proficiency in Office suite and POWER BI. **Additional Information** Why apply: By joining Grupo Equatorial, you become part of a growing company with a culture that values continuous development, talent diversity, and commitment to the future.
