




Job Description: MATERIALS AND QUALITY TECHNICIAN JOB DESCRIPTION We are hiring a Materials and Quality Technician to perform technical and operational control of materials and quality documentation for civil and electrical construction fronts, ensuring compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and client expectations, with strong interface with site planning and adherence to the Last Planner System (LPS). The professional will be responsible for material receipt, verification, traceability, and release; management of technical documentation; execution and recording of low-complexity tests; preparation of reports; and compilation of the final Databook. The role involves direct interface with engineering, supervisors, foremen, procurement, planning (LPS), SSMA, and client representatives. We seek an organized individual with a technical profile and planning mindset, capable of integrating physical material control with site scheduling to ensure timely material availability and avoid disruption to production flow. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Materials and Planning (LPS) * Receive, verify, and inspect materials according to purchase orders, invoices, drawings, and technical specifications; * Control material traceability, identification, storage, and preservation on-site; * Approve or reject materials for use based on technical criteria; * Maintain inventory control, consumption tracking, and forecasting of future supply needs aligned with the project schedule; * Coordinate closely with Planning and the Last Planner System (LPS) to ensure materials are available according to scheduled work front execution windows, preventing stoppages due to lack of supplies; * Support weekly material demand forecasting aligned with team schedules; * Monitor shortage risks and proactively inform engineering and procurement to facilitate timely decision-making. Quality and Documentation * Control, organize, and standardize technical documentation for Civil and Electrical work fronts; * Receive, verify, and archive: field reports, checklists, certificates, ARTs (Technical Responsibility Statements), test reports, measurements, as-built drawings, photographic records, and test results; * Support and conduct low-complexity tests (electrical continuity, simplified grounding, lighting, visual inspections for civil and electrical works); * Prepare, compile, and review inspection and test reports; * Consolidate and organize documentation for full Databook compilation (physical and/or digital), per client standards; * Support internal and external quality-related audits; * Interface with engineering, supervision, foremen, SSMA, and clients for documentary and technical validation. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Prior Experience: Experience as a Materials Technician, Quality Technician, Quality Inspector, or Documentation Technician in industrial construction projects. Technical Knowledge * Basic ability to read civil and electrical drawings; * Industrial materials control; * Inspection of works and technical traceability; * Organization and compilation of construction documentation and Databook; * Basic understanding of electrical testing and simple technical verifications; * Familiarity with construction planning routines and the Last Planner System (LPS) is desirable. Organization: Highly organized profile, with strong control over records, deadlines, and document versioning. Communication: Clear communication with field teams, planning, engineering, procurement, and supervision. Computer Skills: Practical knowledge of Excel, Word, and digital file organization. Education: Technical qualification in Quality, Building Construction, Electrotechnology, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields is preferred. Safety: Commitment to SSMA procedures.
