**RESPONSIBILITIES:** Responsibilities: Receive and hand over shift duties with the unit’s nursing team; Admit and orient patients and their families; Report to the unit nurse any observations regarding changes in the patient’s general condition; Provide nursing care to patients according to the established care plan, including hygiene, comfort, and safety measures; Document all performed activities; Assist physicians and nurses in patient care; Collect specimens for laboratory tests; Perform electrocardiograms; Ensure maintenance, cleaning, and organization of unit facilities; Assist in cleaning unit surfaces, keeping them clean and organized; Clean equipment according to unit routine prior to sending it to the Central Material Management Department (CME) and arrange for replacement; Replace solutions and their respective containers according to unit routine; Participate in post-mortem procedures; Carry out routine tasks related to patient discharge; Actively contribute to achieving the Action Plan goals of your department; Attend monthly team meetings; Participate in professional qualification training programs; Apply aseptic technique in all procedures; Perform related duties; Triage and risk classification; Accompany patients during transfers; Participate in planning nursing care; Perform nursing assistance actions, except those exclusively reserved for Registered Nurses; Participate in guiding and supervising auxiliary-level nursing staff; Be an integrated member of the healthcare team.
