Job Summary: Ensure meal preparation, assembly, and distribution while maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety in a hospital environment. Key Highlights: 1. Meal preparation and distribution Ensure correct preparation, assembly, and distribution of meals to patients, companions, and hospital staff, maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Print the hospital diet chart and organize meal distribution to patients and companions * Print meal identification labels and affix them to trays and food items * Assemble meals according to the institution's dietotherapy manual * Wash and package fruits * Wash and package salads * Collect and separate food samples produced in the dietary kitchen * Serve coffee and milk in cups/thermal containers * Package bread, cookies, and cold cuts * Heat frozen meal containers * Monitor food temperature throughout the entire meal service process * Arrange meals on trays and organize them on the diet distribution cart * Deliver meal trays to patients' rooms * Prepare, deliver, and collect snacks for the surgical block * Prepare, deliver, and collect coffee breaks * Collect used meals * Wash nutrition-related utensils in the dietary kitchen * Store supplies and utensils in the dietary kitchen * Complete hygiene and temperature control worksheets related to the dietary kitchen * Conduct inventory counts of supplies * Coordinate with nursing staff regarding Nutrition Department information, e.g., oral feeding suspension Participate in training sessions related to Nutrition, such as Good Food Handling Practices, Customer Service, and Dietotherapy * **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed elementary education. * Prior experience as a dietary aide, preferably in a hospital or high-volume setting. * Basic knowledge of food hygiene and handling. * Fundamental understanding of hospital diets (preferred). **Additional Information** **Benefits:** Transportation allowance or fuel voucher; Corporate University; Health and dental plans with no monthly fee for the employee; **Work Schedule:** 4:45 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday to Saturday We are a strong, experienced group driven by health.
