




Job Summary: A professional to perform complex tooling activities, evaluating, building, and repairing tools and fixtures, pursuing continuous improvement. Key Highlights: 1. Perform high-complexity tooling activities. 2. Evaluate, build, and repair tools, dies, and fixtures. 3. Guide and supervise operators in the use of tooling. Responsibilities/Activities: * Perform high-complexity activities, identifying opportunities for process improvement in assigned areas; * Meet factory and/or engineering requirements for manufacturing and/or maintenance of cutting tools, fixtures, gauges, and parts, through work orders or as prioritized by the area leader; * Evaluate drawings and/or conditions of tools, dies, and fixtures, identifying consistency issues and uncertainties with the area leader, approving drawings and/or resolving tooling problems; * Procure required materials for building designed tooling, fixtures, and parts according to drawing specifications from the raw material warehouse in the area, assisting in material cutting; * Build and/or repair tools, fixtures, and parts either at the operation site or on workbenches, per project drawings or identified defects, using prepared materials, within the shortest possible timeframe; * Supervise and/or test built tools and parts together with the factory and/or designated tooling department, resolving adjustment issues, monitoring pilot batches, and releasing tooling for operations; * Provide construction or adaptation of fixtures or auxiliary tools supporting prototype and/or die development, potentially guiding future fixture machining construction bases; * Arrange release of built tools, fixtures, and parts, forwarding them to the metrology department or to the relevant application area, accompanied by corresponding documentation; * Install machining fixtures on specific machines according to operational characteristics, connecting hydraulic, pneumatic, and part cooling systems involved in the operation; * Guide novice toolmakers in the process of building/maintaining cutting tools, parts, and fixtures during machine part manufacturing and other processes; * Supervise and guide production line operators regarding correct usage of built, maintained, and tested tooling, as needed; * Operate machining equipment for building/maintaining tool components, as required based on operational needs and equipment availability in the area; * Suggest improvements for machining tools and fixtures under construction and maintenance to enhance functionality, technical updating, and performance, through analysis and operational testing; * Assemble and disassemble firearms, conducting tests with revolvers and pistols, acting as support in the engineering testing laboratory (properly authorized for this specific access). Mandatory Requirements: * Completed High School; * Technical Course in Toolmaking; * Ability to program and operate Wire EDM; * Knowledge of Sinker EDM; * Relevant work experience; * Availability to work fully onsite; * Easy access to São Leopoldo.
