Conducting hygiene and safety training sessions A reputable company based in Porto Alegre and Rio Grande do Sul is hiring: Occupational Safety Technician. Job Responsibilities: · Identify, record, and eliminate unsafe conditions in the workplace, and guide employees on compliance with hygiene and safety standards, correct procedures, and proper use of tools, machinery, and various equipment. Train and monitor the use of PPEs and EPCs; · Investigate workplace accidents/incidents to determine root causes, and propose improvements to the work environment, layout and use of machinery and tools, and related procedures. Accompany injured workers to medical services and prepare required documentation for issuance of CAT (Work Accident Communication); · Conduct training sessions and quick safety meetings (DSS) with team members (head office and field), presenting and discussing various topics related to hygiene and safety, aiming to maintain constant awareness of risks, unsafe acts, standards, procedures, etc. · Inspect, register, and distribute fire extinguishers; manage the emergency system (hydrants and alarms); and monitor expiration dates of extinguisher charges; Control and manage PPE inventory; · Update departmental documentation to meet ISO standard requirements, ensuring maintenance of service quality standards, company certification, and customer satisfaction. ·· Review the Risk Management Program (PGR) in accordance with Regulatory Standards, aiming to formalize existing environmental risks within the company; · Guide and schedule employees for medical examinations stipulated in the PCMSO (Occupational Medical Control and Health Program); · Develop and deliver training programs; disseminate hygiene and safety standards and procedures; integrate new CIPA (Internal Commission for Accident Prevention) members; and provide theoretical and practical Fire Brigade training, ensuring their readiness for the new role. · Participate in regular CIPA (Internal Commission for Accident Prevention) meetings; receive and propose preventive measures regarding various company processes, aiming to ensure employee safety and improve the working environment. · Prepare charts, demonstrative boards, and statistics on departmental performance and incidents for review and control by supervisors and clients. · Draft work instructions, submit them for supervisor approval, and guide involved personnel during training. · Conduct environmental assessments to evaluate risks and hygiene and safety conditions, for client control and awareness.
