Preparation and bath operations, quality control, surface processes, maintenance. Knowledge of the metallurgical industry, electroplating and surface treatment processes, operation of galvanizing lines and chemical bath tanks, preparation and control of chemical solutions, control of process parameters such as time, temperature, current, and current density, reading and interpretation of production orders and technical instructions, performing basic measurements and inspections of metallic coatings and finishes, quality control of coatings, preparation and cleaning of parts prior to processing (degreasing, pickling, and activation), replenishment and adjustment of chemicals in baths, identification of defects in the metallic deposition process, fundamentals of electrochemistry applied to electroplating, use of measurement and control instruments, recording of production and process data, application of safety standards when handling chemicals, proper use of PPE, awareness of effluent treatment and environmental control, as well as basic maintenance and cleaning of process equipment and tanks.
