Description: Required: ICU EXPERIENCE ACTIVE NURSING COREN LICENSE * Issue, supervise, and perform documentation in area-specific forms; * Participate in institutional nursing teams and/or committees—such as enterostomal therapy, ethics, communication, etc.—whenever requested; * Participate in developing standards, routines, technical procedures, and actions within one’s scope of responsibility, and manage staff under one’s supervision in accordance with current guidelines and routines; * Ensure maintenance of physical infrastructure under one’s responsibility, involving the team in achieving this objective; * Provide patient and family reception and guidance upon unit discharge, as well as plan, organize, implement, and evaluate 24/7 nursing care; * Perform procedures and actions within one’s scope of practice, and assess the quality of nursing care and interventions through daily visits to all patients to verify execution of prescribed and administered nursing treatments; * Analyze, control, and forecast staffing, equipment, and material requirements for nursing care; * Control psychotropic medications in the unit, and inspect and replenish the emergency cart according to the unit’s routine and corporate SOP (Standard Operating Procedure); * Record procedures and clinical decisions in institution-specific forms included in the patient’s medical record, and supervise documentation control of the medical record; * Supervise and review documentation of procedures and care delivered to patients by the healthcare team under one’s supervision, and supervise technical procedures and routines before, during, and after their implementation; * Adhere to and commit to current or future nursing or institutional programs; * Comply with instructions from the Hospital Infection Control Center (CCI-H) and occupational safety, in accordance with training and policies established and conducted by these departments; * Accompany physician rounds whenever possible, providing all relevant data; * Report to the Nursing Coordinator any discrepancies encountered in medical prescriptions, physician rounds, or complementary exams—as well as other issues related to one’s area of practice; * Substitute for nurses in other areas, as well as those in one’s own area, whenever necessary; * Plan nursing care in accordance with established standards of care and perform patient complexity stratification upon admission; * Maintain contact with the multidisciplinary team in the area to improve integration and service development; * Conduct and participate in team meetings, communicating new directives to team members; * Inspect equipment and physical infrastructure for proper usage and condition, request repairs or replacements, and oversee preventive equipment maintenance; * Apply patient risk classification and implement barriers to prevent reverse flow, through monitoring of the patient’s clinical condition; * Participate in working groups focused on improving clinical practice, share experiences and best practices with the team, and take part in multidisciplinary rounds; * Organize data, analyze indicators, and propose strategies to achieve departmental goals; * Participate in shift handovers and identify needs of patients under observation or awaiting physician evaluation; * Identify and report incidents occurring in the unit, analyze root causes, and escalate to the Supervisor and/or Nursing Coordinator; * Guide patients upon hospital discharge; * Collaborate in and participate in training and continuing education programs; identify capacity-building needs for Nursing Technicians and Assistants; ensure ongoing training, including implementation of standards, routines, and procedures following training programs; * To hold the position of Nurse, the candidate must possess a valid registration with the Regional Nursing Council (COREN), and have fully settled all financial obligations with said council; * Perform other related duties as determined by superiors. 2511300202181836652
