




Job Summary: Operate and maintain heavy equipment for electrical infrastructure, ensuring safe and efficient execution of activities such as excavation, lifting, and material handling. Conducting daily inspections and maintenance of equipment **PREREQUISITES:** * Completion of elementary education required; * Availability for rotating shifts: 5x2, 21x2, or 90x10; * Willingness to travel and stay on-site; * Residing in the regions of Gravataí, Porto Alegre, Gramado, Canela, Erechim, or other cities in Rio Grande do Sul is a plus; * Proficiency in operating wheeled or tracked tractors and related machinery; * Demonstrated dexterity and precision during machine and equipment operation; * Experience with backhoes or truck-mounted cranes. **Work Schedule:** Availability for the following shift patterns: \- 5x2 (Monday to Friday) — for candidates residing in the city where the project is located or in adjacent cities; \- 21x2 — for candidates residing farther from the project site, within the state of Rio Grande do Sul; \- 90x10 — for candidates residing in other states. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** Operate heavy equipment such as wheel loaders, compactors, cranes, crawler tractors, and rock drills in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure safe and efficient execution of electrical infrastructure activities. Perform minor excavations for installation of trenches and precast materials using smaller equipment such as mini backhoes or skid-steer loaders, in compliance with technical specifications of the project. Lift loads using tractors equipped with winches, observing operational limits and safety regulations to accurately position materials and components. Install cables via tractor-dragging method, as per project planning, to ensure correct transmission network installation. Transport waste materials within the construction site perimeter using appropriate equipment to maintain site organization and cleanliness in compliance with environmental regulations. Assist in preparing foundations, platforms, access roads, and bases for poles, towers, and structures, following technical guidance to ensure stability and compliance of installations up to 500 kV. Clear right-of-way and open access routes using tractors and specialized attachments, according to the work plan, to allow safe passage of vehicles and equipment. Handle loads using hydraulic equipment such as truck-mounted cranes and cranes, adhering to operational procedures to meet the project’s logistical requirements. Operate rock drilling equipment (Rock Drill), per technical instructions, to enable excavation in high-resistance terrain. Support field teams in activities requiring excavation or heavy material handling, especially in hard-to-access areas, to ensure continuous progress across work fronts. Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Collective Protective Equipment (CPE), as well as specific tools, to safeguard personal and team safety and preserve equipment integrity. Carry out tasks in accordance with applicable standards and procedures; when non-routine tasks are required, conduct Preliminary Risk Analysis (PRA) to mitigate operational risks. Drive company vehicles in compliance with applicable rules and procedures, ensuring proper and responsible use of vehicles, machines, and equipment under one’s responsibility. Perform daily operational inspections of equipment, verifying functionality and safety conditions, reporting malfunctions, and requesting preventive or corrective maintenance to ensure uninterrupted operations.
