The Traffic Operator - Heavy Tow Truck is responsible for operating heavy tow trucks to remove vehicles obstructing roadways, responding to incidents, and contributing to safe and efficient traffic flow on highways. Additionally, must ensure constant communication with the Operations Control Center (CCO) and coordinate vehicle removal activities according to safety standards and operational procedures. * Operate heavy tow trucks to remove accident-damaged, broken-down, or otherwise obstructing vehicles from highway lanes, ensuring the safety of all involved; * If necessary, operate other operational vehicles such as light tow trucks, livestock transport trucks, water tank trucks, and traffic inspection vehicles; * Ensure safety during vehicle removal processes by following safety regulations and using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); * Maintain constant communication with the CCO (Operations Control Center), reporting incident locations and receiving guidance for optimal response; * Safely transport vehicles to designated locations (impound lots, repair shops, or destination points), taking care to prevent damage to vehicles or roadways; * Collaborate with other support and security teams, such as traffic officers and security agents, during vehicle removal and transportation; * Inspect the heavy tow truck before each operation to ensure equipment is in good working condition, performing preventive maintenance when needed; * Complete incident and activity reports, including information about the removed vehicle, time, location, and any important service details; * Assist in traffic signaling and control at vehicle removal sites, ensuring work is conducted safely without posing risks to drivers and other highway users; * Perform basic maintenance on the tow truck, such as checking fluids, tires, and other essential components to ensure vehicle operability; * Respond promptly and efficiently to emergencies such as accidents or highway blockages, minimizing traffic impact; * Drive vehicles safely in compliance with traffic regulations and organizational policies; * Know and comply with policies, standards, procedures, or work instructions defined by Quality, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety, and Road Safety management systems, as applicable to their role, established by the company or current legislation. 2510140202261483503
