Responsibilities: * Know and apply occupational safety regulations and guidelines; * Maintain cleanliness and organization of machines, equipment, and workplace; * Conduct general process observation (criticality); * Request / return materials from warehouse / inventory / storage; * Record production orders and downtime hours in SAP; * Participate in internal/external audits and action plans to pursue continuous improvement; * Maintain shift logbook entries; * Identify samples; * Label first-quality reels, cores, and pallets; * Identify and segregate scrap; * Follow the cutting/rewinding schedule posted in SAP; * Operate the overhead crane; * Start the core cutter; * Adjust the blade "penetration" on the core cutter; * Perform preventive maintenance and resolve issues; * Start and operate the packaging system; * Replace stretch film on the packaging system; * Weigh, record, and segregate scrap reels; * Understand the impact cutting/rewinding equipment may have on quality; * Fully understand the cutting layout (machine and SAP); * Prepare and print identification labels; * Update the cutting operation logbook daily; * Load and unload the shaft; * Operate cutting/rewinding machines; * Replace blades and set up knives; * Correctly position cores on the shaft; * Verify knife rotation and positioning; * Properly adjust winding tension; * Perform threading from the unwind stand to the rewind shaft; * Assist in rewinder operations; * Execute all quality-related activities associated with extrusion systems; * Perform other related tasks. * Support the Pest Control Program; * Comply with GMP – Good Manufacturing Practices; * Comply with the Housekeeping Program; * Comply with the Process Attributes Book; * Manage glass and rigid plastic materials. Qualifications: * Minimum: Completed high school education. * Preferred: Technical training in production-related fields. * Preferred: Experience in manufacturing activities and production lines. * Experience with 5S programs.
