Technical development of less experienced employees Job Title OPERATIONS ENGINEER II (FULL) Work Location Florianópolis Job Description The professional will be responsible for activities related to the security of the Regional and Systemic Operation Network of the National Interconnected System, aiming to ensure system operation in compliance with guidelines, rules, and procedures outlined in the Operation Procedures Manual (MPO), as well as the reliability, continuity, quality, and cost-effectiveness of electric power supply. Job Responsibilities 1\. Monitor coordination or execution of activities under their responsibility for implementing the Daily Operation Program (Regionally or Nationally) and its reprogramming when necessary. 2\. Perform highly complex tasks ensuring real-time energy transmission and equipment availability at installations, transmission lines, interconnections between subsystems, and the Systemic Network (Regionally or Nationally). 3\. Conduct operational analyses and analyze intervention requests assigned to the Operating Center where they work (National or Regional). 4\. Perform advanced real-time security analyses using sophisticated network analysis tools, electromechanical stability tools, and security region tools (ORGANON) and PMUs, aimed at maintaining the operational network’s reliability under normal and contingency conditions. 5\. Coordinate and execute the recording of all information and events arising from real-time operations for subsequent investigation and analysis, and also provide real-time feedback to Operational Support and Daily Scheduling departments. 6\. Coordinate and monitor other real-time operational processes, including post-disturbance restoration, voltage and loading control, operational security control, and hydraulic operation control of reservoirs within their area of responsibility (regional or national reservoir systems). 7\. Monitor identification of the need for new developments or adaptations to real-time supervision and control systems and their applications in their region of operation. 8\. Participate in the technical development of less experienced employees, providing support during atypical, complex, or conflict situations. Academic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Postgraduate degree in Electrical Engineering (desirable) 1st Level Knowledge Physical characteristics of the system; Single-line diagrams of substations and power plants; Regulatory framework of the Brazilian electricity sector (emphasis on real-time operations); Electrical system protection. 2nd Level Knowledge Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) / Analysis tools (ANAREDE/ORGANON) 3rd Level Knowledge Basic English (desirable) Behavioral Characteristics Emotional intelligence, conflict management, teamwork, and ability to work under pressure. requisicaoEdit.SCREENQUESTION.label Do you hold a driver's license?
