




Job Summary: Process customs entries, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate issue resolution to facilitate efficient customs clearance for inbound and outbound shipments. Coordinate resolutions of issues related to customs documentation To perform all duties associated with processing customs entries in compliance with local country clearance regulations; to work directly with customers to ensure fast, efficient customs clearance of all inbound and outbound shipments.\_x000D\_ \_x000D\_ Maintain knowledge of current local country Customs regulations and legislation related to Customs clearance, responding to any internal or external inquiries regarding appropriate processes and/or payments, and providing direction to lower-level staff as appropriate. Analyze and investigate Customs regulations to ensure FedEx compliance with changing tariffs and inspection requirements. Coordinate problem resolutions related to Customs documentation, tariffs, or fines to expedite package/document movement through Customs. Ensure Customs duties and taxes are paid in a timely and accurate manner to eliminate fines or penalties for the Company and/or the customer. Responsible for all entries into the Customs system on behalf of the Customer and authorized to sign Import Declarations. May hold Power of Attorney from Customers to perform Customs clearance via the Customs automated system; collaborate with Customs agency personnel, FedEx air freight brokers, and operations personnel to facilitate timely customs inspection of import and export packages and ensure timely customs clearance. Generate new revenue and repeat sales through active promotion of company services to customers. Administer and coordinate In-House Brokerage projects to ensure implementation as scheduled. Maintain historical operational data for use in planning and tracking trends. Perform special projects as assigned by the Manager. Provide FedEx international operations familiarization to external visitors (agents, government/regulatory officials). Prepare charts, graphs and overheads for presentation at Brokerage In-House staff meetings. Act as a liaison between government agencies and the Brokerage In-House Manager.
