The responsibilities of an **IT Assistant** include preparing an inventory of existing hardware—tracking purchase invoices, maintenance contracts, and warranty periods; training users on available applications and supporting them in troubleshooting; contacting software vendors to resolve issues related to purchased applications; assembling equipment and deploying systems used by service units, as well as training users; participating in the analysis of new software and the procurement process for application software; developing small programs to improve user\-support interface; performing equipment maintenance and preservation; conducting backups and other data security procedures; and creating and implementing access restriction and network usage control procedures.
