Job Summary: This professional will lead technical activities, conduct failure analysis, develop solutions and documentation for railway onboard systems, and collaborate with global teams. Collaborate with global teams in implementing new systems. **Job Description** **This position requires on-site work in Contagem, MG.** **Who will you work with?** Currently, the Onboard Engineering team consists of engineers and analysts who collaboratively engage directly with customers and development teams to understand railway requirements and shape the future of onboard systems for Brazilian railways. **How will you make a difference?** Lead technical activities while ensuring adherence to project execution timelines and established schedules. Conduct failure analysis, defect correction, and provide technical support to customers during PTC system maintenance and implementation. Develop technical solutions and produce associated documentation for new PTC installations, including schematics, specifications, and manuals. Define, monitor, and manage performance indicators and controls for ongoing projects. Collaborate with Wabtec’s global teams to support implementation of new systems and projects across Brazilian railways. **What do we want to know about you?** * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Control and Automation Engineering. * Solid experience with embedded systems applied to the railway industry. * Experience with railway signaling systems, with focus on PTC and I-ETMS. * Experience implementing engineering projects in railway or industrial environments. * Experience developing electrical projects from conception through implementation. * Ability to develop, review, and interpret electrical and electronic schematics. * Experience preparing technical documentation, including schematics, specifications, and manuals. * Ability to conduct software and hardware testing in operational environments. * Experience with software lifecycle management tools and requirement traceability tools. * Advanced or fluent English proficiency, with strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to define, monitor, and analyze system and project performance indicators and controls. * Ability to lead technical meetings and discussions in collaborative settings with international teams. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Willingness to travel and work onsite at railway locations. **What will your day-to-day look like?** * Collaborate with internal and external project teams to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues. * Ensure structured documentation of identified issues by preparing technical reports and performance indicators (KPIs) for control and performance improvement. * Develop and implement technical corrections and enhancements to ensure PTC system performance and reliability in railway operations. * Plan and execute field functional tests to validate PTC system operation and performance. **Benefits:** At Wabtec, people come first.
