The Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for supporting laboratory activities related to product analysis, quality control, and development. Key responsibilities include sample preparation, conducting tests, and maintaining technical records, ensuring compliance with applicable technical standards and internal quality requirements. **Analyses and Testing:** * Perform technical and mechanical tests on concrete, mortar, and production materials (e.g., cement, aggregates, admixtures); * Collect samples of raw materials and finished products in accordance with current technical standards; * Record and organize test results for analysis and archiving. **Quality Control:** * Assist in verifying product compliance with technical requirements and customer specifications; * Recommend adjustments to mix designs and production procedures based on laboratory results, as needed; * Monitor and record environmental conditions affecting test outcomes, such as temperature and humidity. **Equipment Operation:** * Operate, calibrate, and perform basic preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment—including precision compression machines, balances, sieves, and others; * Maintain laboratory organization, cleanliness, and equipment preservation. **Internal Support and Reporting:** * Provide technical support to the production team and operational departments; * Prepare technical reports and present test results to laboratory leadership and relevant departments. **Standards and Procedures:** * Adhere to safety regulations and use required personal protective equipment (PPE); * Ensure compliance with current technical standards, particularly ABNT NBR standards for concrete and mortar.
