**Job Description:**

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: 1 \- Adhere to and enforce the Nursing Code of Ethics and the Professional Practice Law; 2 \- Know and follow nursing standards and routines as defined by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); 3 \- Receive shift handover and collect all relevant information (e.g., current inpatients, scheduled admissions, and status updates); 4 \- Review the surgical workflow board daily; 5 \- Prepare trays containing materials and medications for patient triage and deliver them to the recovery area; 6 \- Verify patient clearance for surgery and review the electronic medical record (e.g., test results, surgical risk assessment); 7 \- Document admission and triage in the MV system; complete vital signs fields; 8 \- Instruct the patient to change into hospital attire; mark the eye scheduled for surgery; administer mydriatic eye drops where required for certain surgeries; 9 \- Transport the patient to the Operating Room via wheelchair upon department request; update patient transfer in the MV system; 10 \- Review medication prescriptions and perform dilution calculations, incorporating them into the care plan; 11 \- Check and replenish the emergency medical consultation room; 12 \- Receive patients from the Operating Room, escort them to the recovery room, instruct them on changing attire, return date, and post-operative care; 13 \- Request tea for the patient from the kitchen; 14 \- Record all care provided to patients in the MVPEP system, discharge patients, and accompany them to reception; 15 \- Request billing department to close patient expenses and finalize the medical record; 16 \- Clean equipment and furniture in the inpatient unit on weekends per schedule or as needed; 17 \- Conduct focused assessments on post-operative patients; 18 \- Perform nursing procedures in urgent and emergency care settings; 19 \- Inspect the crash cart once per month; 20 \- Notify the nurse and physician immediately when patients exhibit clinical changes; 21 \- Monitor supply inventory, issue medications, and submit monthly requests via system to the warehouse; 22 \- Submit weekly requests via system for hygiene/cleaning supplies; 23 \- Check refrigerator temperature daily; 24 \- Fold surgical drapes; 25 \- Open service orders and/or incident reports when necessary; 26 \- Arrange emergency transport via SOS Salva-vidas or SAMU for patients exhibiting clinical changes; 27 \- Attend scheduled courses and/or training sessions for the department; 28 \- Conduct and supervise on-the-job training for newly hired nursing technicians.
