Requirements: The **Research and Development** team seeks a **Senior Java Software Engineer** to join our team at Brazil’s largest developer of financial market software and products, where we believe technological innovation inspires progress. **This role will be responsible for:** * Developing and maintaining Python applications in a microservices environment * Participating in architectural decisions and system integrations * Specifying and consuming REST APIs * Configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines * Modeling and optimizing SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases * Conducting code reviews and ensuring delivery quality **To \#match this opportunity, the following mandatory requirements must be met:** * Python — solid backend development experience * Practical experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) * MongoDB or another NoSQL database in production * Relational database (PostgreSQL, MySQL) * Git — advanced usage and version control best practices * CI/CD — experience with pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) * Microservices architecture * Automated testing (unit and integration tests) Having any of the following knowledge or experience would be considered a plus: * AWS experience (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, SQS, API Gateway, DynamoDB) * Experience with card processing, payment methods, or billing * Knowledge of Java * Familiarity with ISO 8583 protocols or positional files * High-availability / low-latency systems IMPORTANT: This opportunity is for on-site work at Evertec Brazil’s offices in Porto Alegre, São Paulo (capital), or Belo Horizonte (hybrid model).
