Guided by our GELITA Values and scientific research, we drive innovation and consistently focus on excellence, experience, and customer orientation. **Responsibilities and Duties** **Scope of Activity:** * Ensure compliance with the site’s safety policy together with the entire operations team; * Guarantee the supply of potable water, industrial water, steam, compressed air, and chilled water systems to the entire production site through operational guidance and training of the team, shift report monitoring, and identification of corrective actions for non-conformities; supervise all WWTP and water treatment plant (WTP) operations to ensure compliance with current legislation and achievement of all operational KPIs; * Manage costs and performance indicators to ensure achievement of Utilities department objectives and compliance with environmental and safety regulations; * Supervise laboratory analyses performed by the team, as well as external third-party analyses, identify non-conformities, and propose corrective solutions; * Manage and optimize the use of resources (water, electricity, steam, and chemicals) employed in WTP, WWTP, and Utilities operations; * Ensure development of departmental procedures by analyzing equipment histories and manuals, summarizing key information and data, and publishing procedures in the established format to facilitate process understanding; ensure clear and objective communication with internal and external support areas when necessary, as well as with superiors; * Collaborate with the Production Manager to implement continuous improvement plans (PDCA) related to safety, compliance, quality, production, and cost efficiency; * Monitor the entire production process daily and report findings to the Production Manager; * Develop the department’s employee training program by identifying needs and jointly planning implementation with the HR department; * Manage the operations team, including vacation planning, application of disciplinary measures, workplace climate management, and other related responsibilities; * Define responsibilities of direct reports to achieve departmental objectives; set priorities for the Maintenance team’s service execution; * Conduct regular performance evaluations in accordance with organizational policy; assess environmental aspects and associated processes and establish operational controls; * Participate in various site audits and promote the development of action plans; * Prepare and encourage operational team participation in Root Cause Analyses (RCAs); * Operate two Biocal boilers on a full-time basis: one biomass-fired boiler with a capacity of 14 tons of steam per hour, and one Aalborg oil-fired boiler with a capacity of 8 tons of steam per hour. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree completed; * Engineering or Technology background in Production, Chemical, Food, or related fields; * Solid experience managing operator teams; * Proven experience supervising WWTP, WTP, and Utilities operations; * Experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments is desirable; * Experience conducting certification audits (SIF, FSC, ISO, and customer audits) is desirable; * Language: Advanced English. **Additional Information** * Medical Assistance (Employee + Spouse and Children); * Dental Assistance (Employee + Spouse and Children); * Pharmacy Benefit; * Meal Voucher; * Commuting Allowance (Transportation Voucher or Parking); * Life Insurance; * On-site Meals; * Year-end Bonus; * School Supplies Allowance for employees’ children enrolled in grades 1–9 (paid in January); * Profit Sharing Plan (PLR) of up to 2 monthly salaries (based on goal achievement). * GYMPASS GELITA is a global leader in the production of gelatin and collagen peptides, with more than 2,900 employees working across 22 facilities on six continents.
