With infrastructure prepared to support and encourage its team, the company reinforces its commitment to this transformation journey. **Responsibilities and duties** * Perform chemical, physicochemical, and microbiological analyses (excluding those exclusively performed by biologists) for quality control of samples of raw water, treated water, drinking water, wastewater (liquid effluent, domestic and industrial sewage), chemical products, as well as samples from various stages of water or sewage treatment; * Install and start operation of new laboratory equipment, calibrate, operate and check analytical equipment, performing maintenance required by the manufacturer; * Understand controls involved in the acquisition and use of chemical products used in the treatment process that are regulated by the Civil Police, Federal Police, and Army, including procedures for issuing licenses and submitting control reports; * Plan, schedule, prepare, control, store, and standardize chemical solutions and reagents, as well as manage inventory of materials and reagents (entries, exits, and procurement needs); * Request, monitor, and technically analyze purchases of materials and equipment; * Prospect and develop technical specifications for equipment and budgets, analytical instruments, and other laboratory supplies; * Operate vehicles to carry out job-related activities; * Develop, implement, and validate analytical methods applicable to the laboratory; * Conduct internal training sessions for teams on operational procedures and/or new methodologies; * Know the legislation related to water potability and environmental regulations; * Be familiar with tools applicable to water potability and environmental legislation (e.g.: SISAGUA, INFOAGUAS, SAFI, etc.); * Know the Laboratory Quality Management System, ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025 standard, ensuring its implementation and maintenance; * Perform critical analysis of calibration certificates, reagent certificates, and define acceptance criteria according to valid or applicable standards; * Monitor compliance with required monitoring mandated by legislation applicable to water potability, both qualitatively and quantitatively; * Participate in internal/external audits as needed; * Plan and participate in proficiency testing and inter/intra-laboratory programs aimed at ensuring the quality of laboratory test results; * Perform technical and administrative oversight of service contracts; * Share knowledge related to their area of expertise; * Perform other tasks necessary for the execution of their activities, such as planning, advising, developing, implementing, reviewing, evaluating, and validating procedures, operational technical standards, instructions, forms, manuals, regulations, and related documents within their area of expertise; * Perform activities related to disposal of materials, including organization, segregation, and proper disposal; * Prepare reports on activities carried out, issue expert opinions and assessments on matters within their specialty, technical notes, test protocols, and technical reports as required by the department; * Maintain relationships with suppliers and other company departments, facilitating research and testing to improve processes; * Serve as technical responsible with the professional board (Regional Council of Chemistry - CRQ), when necessary, signing reports, expert opinions, and ARTs; * Perform administrative tasks necessary for the development of departmental activities, keeping documentation, equipment, materials, etc., under their responsibility organized, and perform other related duties; * Perform planning and execution activities as a provider of Proficiency Testing Programs related to chemistry; * Develop and implement a quality control plan, assess analytical performance, interpret analysis results, coordinate and conduct technical meetings for critical analysis of processes, take preventive and corrective actions when necessary; * Report results to competent authorities, maintain records of activities, and guide the team within their area of expertise; * Monitor department performance indicators and propose improvements; * Possess computer skills (Office suite);
