Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced backend professional to develop scalable and secure solutions in a cloud environment (AWS), lead technical initiatives, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure high performance and observability. Focus on application performance, quality, and observability. **What We’re Looking For:** A professional with strong backend development experience, expertise in Kotlin and Java, and modern architecture practices, to build scalable and secure solutions in a cloud (AWS) environment. We seek someone capable of leading technical initiatives, contributing to architectural decisions, and ensuring high application performance, quality, and observability. **Responsibilities:** * Develop and maintain efficient, secure, and scalable backend systems, with emphasis on quality and performance; * Design resilient solutions aligned with architectural best practices, such as microservices and hexagonal architecture; * Build APIs and microservices using Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot; * Work with continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and infrastructure-as-code in cloud environments—primarily AWS; * Ensure code quality through automated testing (TDD, JUnit, Mockito, TestContainers) and technical reviews; * Participate in defining and evolving system architecture, messaging patterns (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and event-driven solutions (EDA, CQRS, Sagas); * Monitor application performance, availability, and security with a focus on observability; * Lead technical initiatives, mentor less-experienced professionals, and collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, QA, design); **Mandatory Requirements:** * Solid experience with Kotlin (Ktor, Exposed, Koin) and Java; * Proficiency in Spring Boot and Spring Cloud (Eureka, Config, Zuul, Hystrix); * Experience with microservice architecture and modern backend development patterns; * Experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, API Gateway) and tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation; * Practical experience with automated testing (JUnit, Mockito, TestContainers) and agile methodologies; * Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and automation tools such as Maven and Jenkins; * Experience with CI/CD, automated pipelines, and DevOps practices; * Familiarity with observability and monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack or similar); * Experience with hexagonal architecture, application security, and cloud access control (IAM, VPC, etc.); * Experience with BFF and Event Sourcing patterns; * Knowledge of Golang; * Knowledge of goroutines, channels, context.Context, sync primitives (WaitGroup, Mutex, Once), and orchestration patterns for high-performance systems; * **Bonus:** Open-source contributions, technical articles, or public Go repositories; **Behavioral Profile:** **We Are Looking For Someone Who:** * Enjoys working collaboratively in teams and supports team objectives; * Is courageous enough to embrace challenges and go beyond, welcoming new growth opportunities; * Transforms ideas into creative solutions and pursues quality in all daily activities; * Possesses strong problem-solving skills; * Is self-motivated, comfortable working independently, and able to manage their own time effectively; * Is interested in tackling innovative and challenging technological situations. **Big enough to deliver – small enough to care.** **\#VempraGFT** **\#VamosVoarJuntos** **\#ProudToBeGFT** With over 35 years in the market and operations across 16 countries, GFT employs more than 12\.000 people worldwide—including 4\.000 in Brazil.
