Job Summary: An engineering and construction management company is seeking a Cost Engineer to prepare civil construction and building installation budgets, analyze project designs, and negotiate with suppliers. Key Highlights: 1. Responsible for preparing detailed construction cost estimates 2. Multidisciplinary analysis of projects (civil, electrical, hydraulic, etc.) 3. Negotiation and alignment of proposals with suppliers An engineering and construction management company is seeking a Cost Engineer in Barueri. **Responsibilities:** Prepare budgets for civil construction and building installations. Conduct quantitative takeoffs from project drawings, descriptive specifications, and technical scopes. Analyze civil, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, HVAC, fire prevention and suppression, and other complementary disciplines. Develop direct and indirect cost compositions, considering BDI, social charges, and labor laws. Obtain quotations from suppliers and contractors, negotiating delivery schedules and commercial terms. Align technical and commercial proposals. Support risk analysis, assumptions, exclusions, and commercial conditions of budgets. Prepare budget spreadsheets, technical proposals, and commercial proposals. Maintain an updated price database reflecting market practices and values. Previous experience as a Cost Engineer, Budget Analyst, Budget Planning Specialist, or Project Engineer may indicate suitability for some of the activities in this role. Bachelor's degree required.
