This person will be responsible for defining scalable, resilient, and secure solution architectures for payment products and platforms, translating business needs into technical solutions and acting as the primary architectural reference for engineering teams, clients, and stakeholders. The main challenge will be designing robust solutions for distributed, mission-critical environments while balancing innovation, scalability, security, high availability, and compliance with financial industry standards. **Responsibilities and Duties** **Day-to-Day Activities** ------------------------- On a daily basis, this person will: * Design end-to-end payment solution architectures for Latin American clients. * Translate business requirements into scalable, resilient, and secure technical architectures. * Lead architectural decisions throughout the entire solution development lifecycle. * Define current, reference, and future architectures for products and platforms. * Design integrations between systems, APIs, mobile applications, e-commerce, and POS terminals. * Define migration and modernization strategies for Cloud environments, preferably AWS. * Ensure performance, scalability, observability, resilience, and security standards for solutions. * Serve as the technical reference for engineering teams, clients, and executive stakeholders. * Ensure compliance with PCI DSS and other payment industry standards. * Produce technical documentation and disseminate best practices in architecture and software engineering. **Requirements and Qualifications** **Mandatory Requirements** --------------------------- For this position, it is essential to have: * Solid experience (6+ years) in Solutions Architecture, Technical Architecture, or Enterprise Architecture. * Experience designing solutions for critical, highly available systems. * Experience in the Payments industry, preferably in acquiring or Financial Services. * Knowledge of Microservices architectures, Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), Domain-Driven Design (DDD), SOA, and Serverless. * Experience with REST and SOAP APIs, messaging, and system integrations. * Knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure or GCP), Docker, and Kubernetes. * Experience with Agile methodologies, DevSecOps practices, CI/CD, and observability. * Excellent communication skills with both technical and executive audiences. * Completed Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. * Fluent English. **Preferred Qualifications** ------------------------------ Having experience or knowledge in the following areas will be considered an advantage: * Architectures for omnichannel payment solutions. * AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Associate or Professional). * Experience with acquiring platforms, payment gateways, or issuing systems. * Knowledge of Open Finance, Open Banking, or Pix. * Spanish language proficiency for engagement with Latin American clients and teams. **Additional Information** #### **What We Offer** * Fully subsidized health and dental plans. * VA/VR via iFood Benefits card. * Discount network and iFood Club. * Mobility allowance. * Wellhub for physical and mental health. * Extra credits for internal shares and special occasions. * Birthday credit on benefits card. * Educational partnerships and discounts on language courses. * Employee referral program. * Close support from the HR team throughout your journey. #### **About Firedev** Firedev was founded in 2017 in Porto Alegre/RS and operates as an IT consultancy specializing in technology solutions, staff augmentation, software development, low-code, digital products, and tech-enabled recruitment across Brazil and internationally.
