**What does the Data Platform area do at Porto Bank?** The Data Platform & Foundation Squad is the technological foundation that enables Porto Bank to be truly data-driven. As a Data SRE, your goal is not only to keep the ecosystem running but also to ensure that the data infrastructure is resilient, self-governing, and scalable through software engineering applied to infrastructure. You will be the guardian of our Lakehouse stability, ensuring Databricks and Azure operate at peak performance. Your mission is to apply SRE principles (SLIs, SLOs, Error Budgets, and Automation) to eliminate operational bottlenecks and guarantee uninterrupted data flow. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Reliability: Monitoring SLIs/SLOs and error management. * FinOps: Optimization of processing costs (Spark), Azure storage, and SQL Warehouse. * Big Data Troubleshooting: Diagnosis of incidents in Spark and cloud network environments. * Post-mortem Culture: Root cause analysis to prevent problem recurrence. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed or ongoing undergraduate degree; * Experience in data engineering and analytical platforms, including development, testing, and maintenance of pipelines; * Experience working in Microsoft Azure and Databricks environments; * Knowledge of SQL, ETL/Data Warehousing tools, and relational and NoSQL databases. * Knowledge of troubleshooting in cloud environments; * Experience with observability tools for meeting operational KPIs (SLA, SLO). * Knowledge of infrastructure as code.
