WASTE COLLECTOR

Description

Job Summary: Responsible for collecting and properly disposing of waste, as well as cleaning and disinfecting work areas and equipment, in compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures. Key Highlights: 1. Focus on the correct use of PPE and occupational safety standards. 2. Participation in the collection, separation, and transportation of various types of waste. 3. Cleaning and disinfection of equipment and environments according to standard procedures. ### **JOB DESCRIPTION** Ensure proper use of uniforms and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), personal hygiene, and cleanliness of materials and supplies, as directed by supervisors and in accordance with occupational safety standards; Perform daily waste collection, retrieving waste from temporary shelters and transporting it to the central shelter; Collect each type of waste (infectious, general, recyclable, chemical) separately in designated containers or collection carts, per contractual standards; Carry out required documentation and controls, per contractual standards; Clean and disinfect work areas, equipment/materials, following technical guidelines and procedures established in the POP (Standard Operating Procedure) contract; Clean and disinfect containers, collection carts, and temporary and final shelters, according to each contract’s schedule and procedures; Receive external collection services to ensure proper removal of waste; Perform related duties as assigned by higher-level supervisors, within the scope of competencies. ### **JOB REQUIREMENTS** MINIMUM EDUCATION: Incomplete Elementary School. DESIRABLE: Completed Elementary School. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE IN FIELD: 6 months. DESIRABLE: 1 year. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Not applicable. ### **ADDITIONAL INFORMATION** **Contract:** CLT
