What is the position?
Occupational Safety Technician \- RP 18864 \- FIEP System (FIEP, SESI, SENAI, and IEL)
What are the challenges and main responsibilities?
Occupational Safety Technician for the SESMT department of the FIEP System, operating in cities of the Western and Southwestern regions.
Ensuring compliance with applicable OHS legislation at FIEP System facilities through technical responsibility assigned to SESMT, aiming to guarantee a safe working environment compliant with occupational health and safety standards.
Implementing OHS-related programs and activities across FIEP System service units to share knowledge and raise awareness about the importance of OHS.
Monitoring compliance with OHS requirements at FIEP System operational units via technical visits and audits conducted at state service units, aiming to identify and correct potential risks to employee health and safety.
Providing technical specifications for safety equipment and supplies to procurement teams, supporting high-quality, needs-appropriate acquisition of safety equipment and supplies.
Supporting service unit teams in executing SIPAT, establishing CIPA, and forming Emergency Brigades by monitoring and tracking these activities according to the legislative compliance schedule, aiming to strengthen workplace safety culture.
Ensuring OHS regulatory compliance regarding preparation of Work Orders (O.S.), updating occupational health and safety programs, analyzing, technically validating, and monitoring use and control of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), filing Communication of Work Accident (CAT), investigating accidents, managing chemical products, among others — all aimed at fulfilling legal requirements and promoting worker safety.
Assessing, authorizing, and supervising high-risk activities (e.g., working at heights, confined space work, electrical work).
Managing and monitoring OHS action plans.
Documentary analysis and authorization of third-party service providers.
Monitoring and inspecting OHS requirement compliance on construction sites.
Resolving eSocial inconsistencies.
Assessing risk changes due to workforce movements and new occupations.
**Requirements:**
What are the main requirements?
Completed Technical Course in Occupational Safety;
Technical knowledge in Occupational Safety and proficiency in Normative Rules (NRs);
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills;
Willingness to travel within the operational region (Western and Southwestern);
Registration with the Ministry of Labor (MTE) as an Occupational Safety Technician;
Valid Category B driver’s license;
For internal candidates, eligibility must comply with PL 0031 (4\.2\.3\)
