Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering;
* Experience in mining operations, mine infrastructure, and earthmoving services;
* Experience in people management and career development;
* Experience operating large-scale equipment in open-pit mines;
* Experience managing high-priority contracts;
* Experience in cost/financial management;
* Valid Brazilian driver’s license (Category B).
Desirable Qualifications:
* Knowledge of quality management tools;
* Advanced Microsoft Office package;
* Desired education and/or knowledge in geotechnics;

Job Responsibilities and Activities:
* Coordinate and ensure execution of mine operational activities, guaranteeing compliance with the mining plan;
* Lead and develop operational teams, promoting training, engagement, and performance monitoring;
* Participate in developing mining plans and ensure their full implementation;
* Implement the mine drainage plan;
* Define goals and control items, ensuring managerial control over mine activities;
* Be technically responsible for all processes related to Mine Operations, ensuring operational quality with a focus on safety and performance;
* Ensure adequacy, development, and motivation of Management personnel, optimizing their performance through capacity-building actions, responsibility definition, training, awareness-raising, and individual and collective performance monitoring and recognition of results;
* Report major operational deviations and risks objectively and aligned with the Company’s ethical principles at any organizational level;
* Participate in developing specific drainage projects and field implementation of such projects, ensuring continuous operation across all mines;
* Continuously seek new applicable technologies and techniques to enhance operational performance;
* Support unit production activities, providing optimal operational conditions, pursuing compliance with the mining plan, maximizing output, and minimizing costs — harmoniously integrating environmental protection, occupational health and safety, and contributing to maintaining a positive organizational climate;
* Execute unit operations in accordance with environmental standards and pursue mitigation actions to meet community, environmental agency, and VALE requirements;
* Ensure physical safety and structural integrity of geotechnical structures (dams, waste dumps, pit slopes, and plant slopes);
* Guarantee the optimal controlled waste disposal plan, through participation in developing specific PDER projects and field implementation of such projects;
* Be responsible for contract management, aiming to fulfill quantitative and qualitative production programs while maintaining safety, physical integrity, and development of personnel involved in the production process;
* Participate in developing new suppliers, applying technical expertise on new materials and products enabling continuous optimization of general mining activities without compromising final service quality;
* Carry out third-party service contracting via market analysis and trend assessment, tender opening, proposal evaluation, and selection of specialized companies, ensuring services delivery at the best cost-benefit ratio for VALE;
* Supervise/manage contracts under the Management’s responsibility.
