




Job Summary: A nursing professional responsible for welcoming patients and newborns, providing care in the maternity ward and neonatology, and ensuring organization and safety of the environment. Support for breastfeeding and transition of care MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: 1\- Welcome patients and newborns, and receive and convey information regarding the patient's case; 2\- Provide nursing care during the patient's pre\-admission to the maternity ward, and guide the patient on required examinations and procedures, when necessary; 3\- Verify patient and newborn identification and medical devices upon admission and during transition of care; 4\- Provide nursing care to newborns in neonatology; 5\- Maintain organized maternity ward sectors and replenish supplies as needed; 6\- Assist with discharge procedures for mothers and newborns, and provide discharge instructions; 7\- Apply biosafety, patient safety, and environmental organization principles; 8\- Participate in intra\- and extra\-hospital transport of maternity ward patients, when necessary; 9\- Process and forward biological specimens to the laboratory; 10\- Conduct shift handover, ensuring continuity of care; 11\- Record hospital discharge and bed movements in the hospital's information system; 12\- Guide and assist mothers with breastfeeding.
