Responsibilities and Duties * Work within the engineering project execution team or the Materials Laboratory team, where projects may relate to innovation, improvement, or replication of technologies in products, processes, or applied engineering; * Engage in the development, review, and documentation of projects, including: technical reports, project methodologies, technical drawings for representation and manufacturing, explanatory schematics, calculation records, technical presentations, technical notes, and technical and scientific articles related to project activities; * Propose and implement engineering solutions that promote execution simplicity and technological robustness, minimizing risks, costs, processes, and timelines—without compromising required reliability and safety; * Coordinate, when necessary, small workgroups comprising designers, drafters, technicians, and interns; * Develop and/or review manuals, technical and operational procedures, as well as training courses for project activity execution, addressing technical, quality, and safety requirements; * Conduct and/or lead systematic reviews of standards, technical specifications, scientific articles, or other relevant publications to support the theoretical and practical foundations of projects; * Generate performance indicators for supervisors or management teams regarding individual activities, team performance, and/or executed projects; * Ensure all activities comply with internal procedures, applicable standards, and/or best practices, maintaining required safety and quality; * Identify and report deviations, critical points, or risks to supervisors, management, or clients—especially when affecting Safety, Quality, Finance, or Schedule (in exactly this order); * Coordinate or lead the preparation of technical specifications for procurement/contracting of inputs, equipment, products, and services; * Collaborate technically with suppliers and partners to identify or develop viable project solutions, meeting technical, financial, and scheduling requirements; * Participate in the review and execution team for experimental validation or qualification tests of projects; * Acquire, process, report, review, critically assess, and issue technical opinions based on information gathered within your area of expertise throughout the project lifecycle; * Execute technical project planning and actively collaborate in the planning and detailing of other stages, including prospecting, commercial, and execution; * Interact technically with partners and clients interested in the project—for example: proposing/prospecting new projects, attending technical meetings, responding to technical queries, detailing activities, raising technical questions, etc.; * Propose and/or participate in the development of intellectual property, while protecting existing SIMEROS intellectual property; * Perform onboard work on oil platforms; * Act in accident prevention and environmental preservation, supporting basic industrial safety and hygiene guidelines to safeguard personnel physical integrity, equipment and industrial facility safety, and the environment during operation or service execution within SIMEROS’s areas of responsibility; * Contribute to the Quality Management System to ensure its effectiveness by complying with relevant standards, work instructions, and procedures pertaining to your activities; * Understand the quality policy and its objectives, and the implications of nonconformance with requirements; * Be familiar with performance indicators for your area.
